The working environment temperature of the instrument must be between 15 celsius and 35 celsius , relative humidity must be between 30percent and 90percent , atmospheric pressure must be between 98kPa and 104kPa. Extreme temperatures, humidity, and altitude can all affect the performance of this device.
How to Use:
1) Before installing and using the device, please ensure that the surrounding environment is quiet and clean, and keep away from radioactive electromagnetic fields and electronic devices.
2) After connecting, power on the device by pressing the green switch button located at the lower right front of the panel. The display screen will turn on and automatically enter pure tone testing.
3) Familiarize the subject with the testing procedure.
Demonstrate the testing procedure by presenting a test tone of 1000Hz at 40dB HL strength to the subject ear. If the subject can hear the tone, reduce the strength by 40dB. If the subject cannot hear the tone, increase the strength by 40dB until the subject can hear the sound. Then, reduce the strength to the lowest level and gradually increase the sound strength until the subject responds. After a 2-3 second interval, provide the sound again for 2-3 seconds. If the response is consistent, formal testing can proceed.
(1) Air Conduction ometry (AC)
The purpose of air conduction ometry is to determine the tory sensitivity at different frequencies. This test can assess air conduction loss but cannot differentiate between conductive hearing loss and sensorineural hearing loss. Air conduction thresholds involve the entire tory system, including the conductive components of the outer and middle ear, as well as the cochlea and the integrity of the tory nerve function. It is the fundamental part of ology evaluation.
A) The pure tone ometer will automatically enter air conduction testing after powering on.
B) Position the headphones and ask the subject to remove glasses and jewelry. Place the headphones from the top down and adjust the earmuffs so that the headphones " speaker is directly aligned with the ear canal. Adjust the headband length to ensure that the headphones are secure. If the earmuffs do not contact the ears tightly, there may be significant errors in the low frequency testing results.
C) Instruct the subject
Before the testing begins, explain to the subject about the testing pure tones and the patient response handle button. You will hear different sounds of different strengths through the headphones. When you hear the sound, press the patient response handle button. When you do not hear the sound, release the patient response handle button.
D) Order of tested frequencies
1000Hz, 1500Hz, 2000Hz, 3000Hz, 4000Hz, 6000Hz, 8000Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 750Hz, 1000Hz. Generally, start with the better ear or the healthy ear. If there is a difference of more than 10dB in the thresholds between two 1000Hz tests, retesting should be done. If the thresholds of two octave frequencies differ by more than 20dB, half octave frequency threshold measurement should be performed. The duration of sound presentation should be 2-3 seconds, and the interval between the presentations should not be shorter than the presentation time. This is because the complete recovery time after adaptation is usually 2-3 seconds, and the presentation time and interval should be irregular. Continuous pure tone testing should be provided, and if pulse sound is used, it should be explained that appropriate normal threshold reference data for this sound is currently unavailable..
