These small brushless motors are exquisitely crafted and require an external brushless driver to operate. We can smoothly drive the motor using a brushless electronic speed controller (ESC) designed for model aircraft. However, when we use a different brushless motor driver at home, we encounter an issue. When the speed potentiometer is set to half, it operates normally, but when increased further, the current abnormally increases and the speed cannot go beyond 14,000 revolutions per minute. This is likely due to a mismatch in pulse frequency. Additionally, the quality of model aircraft ESCs varies. We have tested two ESC models, with one reaching a maximum speed of only 19,500 RPM and the other reaching 22,000 RPM. As for technical matters, we are not knowledgeable in this area. We kindly request that buyers ensure compatibility before making a purchase, as we are unable to provide technical support. We appreciate your understanding.
Type B:
The B model consists of a motor and fan blades. It is essentially a finished ducted fan without a metal casing. Its specifications are the same as those of a complete ducted fan. It is important to note that all cooling fans are designed to rotate in a specific direction. In the case of this brushless ducted fan, the rotation direction is counterclockwise (when facing the fan blades).
Type C:
This is a miniature three-phase brushless motor without a built-in driver. It requires an external brushless driver to operate. We have successfully driven the motor smoothly using a brushless electronic speed controller (ESC) designed for model aircraft. However, when using a different brushless motor driver at home, we encountered an issue. When the speed potentiometer is set to less than half, the motor operates normally. However, when the speed is increased beyond that point, the current abnormally increases, and the speed cannot go beyond 11,000 rotations per minute. This issue is likely due to a mismatch in pulse frequency. Additionally, the quality of model aircraft ESCs varies. We have tested two different ESC models, with one reaching a maximum speed of only 16,500 RPM and the other reaching 20,000 RPM. We admit that we are not knowledgeable in technical matters. Please note: It's important to confirm the rotation direction of the brushless ducted fan. All motors with fan blades require confirmation of the rotation direction because the fan blade designs may differ accordingly. This brushless ducted fan rotates counterclockwise (CCW). The airflow is directed backward, towards the direction of the motor. If you observe that the airflow is blowing forward during testing, it indicates an incorrect rotation direction. In that case, please swap two of the three motor wires, and the motor's rotation direction will be reversed.
Furthermore, it's worth noting that the power of this brushless ducted fan is not exceptionally strong. Its design differs from those powerful brushless ducted fans on the market that can achieve speeds over 100,000 RPM. Each design has its own advantages, disadvantages, and specific applications, and they should not be compared directly.
