About HiFC material NAZCA HiFC CABLE uses high-performance pure copper called "HiFC". The material commonly called OFC has been used for cables in the guitar and bass industry for a long time. What is the difference between OFC and HiFC? It depends on whether the copper material used contains titanium or not. HiFC is a copper material with a trace amount of titanium added to control impurities in the copper. By controlling impurities, it is possible to bring out the original potential of copper materials to a high level. HiFC has a high measurement result that is equivalent to 6N (approx. 99.9999% purity) for high-purity copper material. This is a numerical value that represents the softening properties and durability of copper material, and the standard for ordinary OFC cables is 3N to 4N, so its superiority has been proven numerically. *Originally, the purity is equivalent to 4N, but by converting to HiFC, it has become equivalent to 6N. By converting to HiFC, we have achieved smoother bending and superior durability than previous OFC cables. *HiFC is a registered trademark of Hitachi Metals, Ltd. Sound characteristics The HiFC cable has a high purity, so the output sound is very clear. When you hear that the purity is high, you may have the impression that the electrical signal output from the instrument comes out straight and the high range sounds too much, but the parts that are audibly unpleasant are neatly cut out, giving a clean impression. In addition, the wasteful spread in the bass range is converted into a well-organized bass, resulting in a sharp chord feel.
