When the head is pressed against the paper, the air touch system is activated and the supply reel is unlocked.
When the head is removed from the paper, the air touch system locks the tape supply and cuts the correction tape.
This mechanism eliminates the need for resistance to cut the correction tape, making it much easier to erase.
